The Brief
In July 2025, I created this music video as a personal passion project for my friend’s band, Hit Me; their recently released song, ‘Alibis For Other Crimes’ was a good opportunity for me to explore camera conventions and lighting as part of my upcoming mockumentary group project on the same band. As this was a solo project, my creative role was that of director, cinematographer, and editor.
I worked closely with the lead singer of the band and got her input on the shot styles and colour grading she wanted. From there, I made a moodboard and then filmed and edited the project; in terms of editing and colour grading, I gathered inspirational images and followed a YouTube tutorial on how to achieve the same colouring.
